A perfect mix of family drama and high-power influence, Striking Out ran for two good seasons from 2017 to 2018. The fans were expecting a third season but to everyone’s disappointment, it never went to the production floor. Or did it? Let’s find out if we can expect another season of Striking Out.
A Peek Into The Storyline
The Irish legal drama had four and six episodes in the first and the second season, respectively. Both the seasons were filled with emotions and turn nearly at every point.
The first season kicks off with Tara Rafferty finding out that her fiance, Eric Dunbar, is cheating on her with his colleague. One fine evening, she goes to meet Eric. After she opens the door to his room, she finds him in a compromising position. In the emotion of shock, she runs away from him and exits the premises.
Eric goes after her to apologize and explain the situation but his attempt goes in vain. Since Eric and Tara were in the same law firm, Tara decides to resign and start her law firm to support clients facing marital and domestic issues.
As the series progresses, she faces difficult challenges from people with high influence. Her cases also interfere with her personal life, something that she must resolve to win her clients’ cases.
The second season continues to put Tara under pressure while solving her cases.
The Cast
Both the seasons had four main actors in their cast list. The lead role of Tara Rafferty was portrayed by Amy Huberman. Tara Rafferty is a lawyer who specializes in legal cases related to marriage and family. She is supported by her two friends Vincent Pike and Meg Reilly.
Vincent Pike was portrayed by Neil Morrissey. Vincent acts as a mentor for Tara at every step of her life and case. Meg Reilly is a tech geek who also works as a private investigator. She was portrayed by Fiona O’Shaughnessy.
Eric Dunbar was played by Rory Keenan. He works as a lawyer in the same firm as Tara. Both cancel their engagement after Eric’s affair with his colleague comes to the notice of Tara.
When Can We Expect The Release
Blinder Films, the production company behind the success of Striking Out, has not yet made any announcement related to the release date of the third season of the series. The second season concluded with a cliffhanger, giving every fan hope that there would be a third season. However, James Phelan, the creator of the series, has not come out to make an announcement either.
Things You May Want To Know About Striking Out Season 3
The third season is expected to bring back all the main actors in their respective characters. It may pick up from the point where the second season was concluded. In simple words, we may get to witness what happens with Tara and Barry’s case.
Summing It Up
The second season went into development while the crew was shooting for the first season. Unfortunately, that could not be the case with the third season. The Series has currently been put on hold as there is no word about the cancellation. We can only hope for the makers to return with another season.
